Jacob Graduates!

The media center filled to capacity and hot as can be...
The children filed in and took their places. It was less than an hour, but I have to say it dragged some! It was neat to see the children "grown up" from Kindergarten!
Afterwards, we headed out to the pavilion for cupcakes and punch. Signed him out from school and then mother(who babysat Jay) and Jacob and I went to Sweet Tomatoes for lunch while we waited for Jayda to finish at school. She was having her party in third grade.

It was just yesterday I was dressing him for Kindergarten...
Here's my baby struggling with buttoning his shirt.

The principal started talking and Jacob had already had enough...as did the girl next to him...
Jacob's teacher.
Jacob stands as he is part of the 1/3 of students who have been at the school since Kindergarten!
This look on Jacob's face was aimed at a sweet girl named Savannah in his class. Hmmm...could it be a crush?

Gives her a final eye before she makes her way back to her seat.

Here she is, green and turquoise dress.

Here he is all done!

Jayda's Party

We celebrated Jayda's birthday last evening at my mother's house. She has the perfect house for a party!

Here is Jayda posing with her cake. It's real small because she doesn't like cake...but needed something to wish on! The masses had cheesecake and we had soy ice cream.

Here's baby Jay waiting for all the guests to arrive.

Unfortunately, but as usual, it takes baby a bit to warm up to grammy and grampy.

Then it was time to eat! We had hot dogs and hamburgers along with these salads.
It was super delicious food and conversation was just as great!

Uncle Gordy, Aunt Candy, Kelly, Bryan, Jay, Peggy, Mom, Dad, Michael, Jacob, Jayda, Baby Jay, and I were all there to celebrate her birthday, albeit, a little early.
She got a bulldog webkinz, she has called Buster and a Schnauzer she has called London. She also got a pair of cute, cute sneakers from mommom...but they were too small...they were a 7! Long skinny feet! Then she got a lot of money.

Uncle Bryan met baby Jay this week for the very first time! He took to him pretty quickly and they spent some time together while we shopped this week. He pushed him around in the cart, whilst little old ladies came up to him and told him how cute his baby was. I always walked away from him to se how he would react! hahahaha He handled it like a trooper!

Here jayda is getting ready to blow out her candles. I do hope you will look back over her shoulder at the cute pics of daddy and Jay and Jay.
You'll see her waiting as papa couldn't get the candles lit...and then you will see the mini fire or so it would seem!

The guys caught up and chit chatted business, baby Jay warmed up to his Grampy!

Our get together's are never complete without conversing about fishing. Tonight's conversation took us to talking about the carp in Pymatuming.

Here's a video so you can see what we were talking about....

Gamers Unite!

Uncle Bryan came over to our house after dinner and brought another video game!!!
This was mario kart with two extra wheels for wii!
They played for over two hours.
The children had a blast. I even got in and played for one game or two, I can't remember!?
Anyway, baby slept great last night! We were up super early today and in to school to pick up my rocking chair and some other things! Michael is currently at his appointment and Jacob and I are sitting in Michael's office holding down the shop!
YES!!! I said Jacob and I . I allowed him to play hookie today! Aren't I such a terrible mother...LOL. He is definitely a fifth grader with "senior-itis"!
Tomorrow he graduates from fifth grade! WOW!
Have a great day!

Cinderello...cute fellow!

All I can say is...TOO CUTE!

You know me!!! Child labor laws mean nothing! {hahahaha}
I was using the broom and he was in his car. He accidentally backed into the broom and it went crashing to the floor. This immediately got his attention. I picked it up and moved it over by the kitchen.
I turned around for a second and looked back moments later and there was Jay, sucking on the broom handle. {I know, I almost had a germ fit too!}
I quick ran and got the camera and he was trying to make the broom work on the floor {seriously!} and then I got his attention and he smiled soooo big at me. Click on the pics to get his expressions full screen!

Uncle Bryan treated Jacob and Jayda to two new video games a piece!!!! They were able to pick out their own. He threw in a surprise they don't know about yet!!!!
He's so generous to us all!

Give me a J-A-Y.....YAY!!!!!!

What a lovely evening we have had. I picked the children up from school and then we came home...where I checked my email and I remembered(upon a reminder email) that Jacob's baseball party was tonight at CiCi's pizza. Darn!!! Whoa...there's a wrench in the plans! Oh well, we wing it!
Jake goes to his party and we continue with our plan on Stromboli at Aunt Candy and Uncle Gordy's house! Delicious! ...About an hour and a half after he left, we went and picked him up again and he came back to visit. This of course put baby Jay way off his schedule and he is well.....um...er...still up! UGH!
Needless to say I am typing fast!
Here you will see some pictures...I don't think I need to describe what goes on in these three! hahahaha

Baby needs to eat!

Jacob has just surpassed aunt candy in height!

DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And on to our dear baby Jay's latest hurdle....

He got up on all four thanks to cousin Kelly and rocked back and forth...before he tipped over. Kelly is`such a natural with babies! She grabbed the cranky guy out of my arms and swooped him off to teach him new tricks!
Yay!!!
Thanks for the pics mom!
Did you get your bead on mom???

More fishing fun???

The guys got started early today to head out fishing...but not early enough.
It seems the bite let go out on the water when they were just heading out.
Although, it didn't stop the guys!
Unfortunately, from Mike's retelling it was the worst day he has ever had out on the water. It had nothing to do with the people...just all the other elements that I am not allowed to repeat here...{giggling! Heck, laughing out loud!} I only hope that everyone else had a good time! I know Michael had wished they would have gotten some kind of fishing action!
BTW...Mike never knew Uncle Gordy was a lefty and he had to reel upside down...That just added to Michael feeling like he could have helped more.

In the meantime, the girls all got together(along with baby Jay) and headed out to Daytona Beach for some shopping. We went to get some beads...and I didn't get any scrap stuff! Then we headed to Michael's and I used some more of my gift card from Mother's Day. I purchased some more card making materials. We shopped a little longer and then had lunch at Panera. My mother hated it and had yet again ordered a very disappointing salad. I absolutely loved my two different salads BOTH times I was there. I feel sorry for her and we won't go again.
The afternoon was rather slow and relaxing. Baby Jay recognizes when the door to the house opens and if he is in the other room he will squeal and clap his hands and then round and round his wrists go with excitement to see who it is that is coming in the house.
Michael took him to the grocery store with him while I worked on a scrapbook page. I will photograph it in the morning and post it on my other blog.
We made dinner together and had Salmon, edamame, salad, and corn bread muffins.
It was so yummy, but filling. So, I saved some for tomorrows lunch!
The baby got his bath and played a while on the floor before I nursed him and put him to bed.
We got word that Jake, baby Jay's cousin on Michael's side who was born July 4th,2007, is now walking. It is so exciting for them! I am not in any hurry to watch Jay walk yet. I am loving him being a baby!
Tomorrow is dinner at my aunt and uncle's house for Stromboli. It is a delicious meal and we are definitely looking forward to it!

Oh, we are conducting a science experiment here at our house. It involves a not so regular baby and Karo syrup. Stay tuned....
