Well, other than the morning starting off kind of rough...meaning: baby Jay was up alot during the night with an extensive awake time at 4 am. When I did crawl out of bed, my hair was standing on end, my face was a mess, my body felt horrid and I stood before my husband. He has this to say, "Are you ok???" hahahaha It was funny, but not at the minute. I felt pretty bad after the night I had!
Thus, Father's day was the last thing on my mind...OOOPS!
Moments after i awoke, my mother calls and wishes my husband a happy father's day! WHAT?????
OOOOOPS, again!
Needless to say, Jacob and Jayda had shared their cards with Michael Friday evening before they left to their dad's apartment. Did you happen to catch the reoccuring theme??? And "father's" were outraged at hallmark for having so many "disgusting" themes in card choices...but I say, "If the shoe fits, wear it!!!" Here was baby Jays card. He signed the card himself and did a pretty good job! Here's what I made for Michael's father's day Card... We went for a late lunch to Red Lobster(we had a gift card). Let's just say it was kind of really yucky! They couldn't even do Michael's fish sandwich correctly. Oh well, lesson learned! Yuck! Then off to Sam's club where Michael bought me an external hard drive! YAY! Plus we got a few things for baby! Mike got a fishing shirt from me a few weeks ago and wouldn't let me get him anything else!
Ah, nice peace and quiet! This morning Mike went for a bike ride and I stayed with baby. Then he came home, and I left to go and see if there were any baby boy things at some neighborhood sales. No luck. I found a few chapter books for jacob and jayda. Michael did yard work, I picked up some groceries, and Michael prepared to go fishing tonight in his kayak just after dinner. He is on the hunt for more snook. Baby and I had a nice day together and he was cute as ever! Well, you may wonder why I now have him caged...he loves to move around the room and find things he shouldn't play with. Then again, I want to have a safe place for him should I need to run and do something or use the bathroom. Safety first is my motto! yes, he is wearing a diaper! Worked on a scrapbok page...check it out on my other blog! Talked to Kelly tonight in NC. She is doing well! It was so nice to talk to her!
Hi Brooke in Georgia! Hope you and your family are doing well! (I taught Brooke in Kindergarten 2006-2007!) Brooke comes to read my blog often!
As well, I received an e-mail from the family whom we were voting on to get a new roof. They won! Thanks for all your help!!!
I think that is it for now...baby is crying and needs me!
This is my cousin Heather, the youngest of aunt candy and uncle gordy's girls. She is due in July... They thought for months she was having a girl...just found out it's a boy...It looks more like twins!!! This morning, we had tossed around the idea of heading to Ocala today. Some business related travel mixed with a trip to Griffin's, was what had the idea swirling. Michael did not finish til almost noon and this pushed us too late getting home for the children going with their dad for the weekend. This afternoon, the children and I headed over to the library for a magic show and reading kickoff. the children loved it. Baby Jay, not so much! He did not like the squealing and hollering the magician was doing, so he did some hollering of his own and I had to remove him from the room. He loved watching the magician through the glass window. Could still see him, but not hear him as loudly. He did get very excited watching the puppet he pulled out and used! He loves stuffed animals. This morning we had made chocolate chip cookies together, and they were delish! What a great afternoon snack. Jayda finished her thank you cards and Jacob as well. They also made their father's day cards for Michael. They were a stitch! I will post tomorrow when th lighting is good and I an photograph them! I have set to begin catching up scrapbook pages!!! I finished one today...check out my other blog. Michael and I headed out to dinner to a restaurant suggested by a client of Michaels. However, it was not so great. But, it was on the river where we saw fish, turtles, and even manatees lumbered by as we ate. Baby Jay slept. It was called the Muddy Rudder. ...Looking forward to a relaxing weekend.
The days are getting easier now that we have a routine. Boy, I tell you...it's difficult managing three children of such vast age differences and ideas of fun. Jay loves rolling around on the floor squealing, Jacob loves playing video games, and Jayda is obsessed with making chocolate chip cookies!!! {I can't say as I blame her though!!!} This morning we were up and relaxed a little...waking up. Jay went down for a nap around 8 am and got up about 915 am.
We got ready and headed to the library for the beading class the children were enrolled in...only to realize it doesn't start until next week. WHAT??? But my schedule.... hahahahahahahaha. We took back a couple of books Jacob had checked out but did not like. He found a new one he liked and I was able to check one out for myself, Plum Lucky by Janet Evanovich! She's such a fun read! Then we headed out to Big Lots nearby, just to check their scrappy isle. They had some cute cute cute mini books I can make. Now, I have to keep my mother in pictures as she will be out of town for three months, back home in PA.
Speaking of, my mother and father touched base today. They were in the mountains of North Carolina visiting friends of theirs on their way up north. My mother says there is no chance in this lifetime of her EVER living in the mountains...away from civilization...needing alpacas to carry your belongings and self up through the treacherous roads to get there!!! Last I spoke to them, they were about 4 hours south of home around noon today. She is not so happy about having to return there...but she has plans already to post a FOR SALE sign in the yard...REAL BIG! She'd love to be a FL resident for good! My dad is not so thrilled about getting rid of the house there yet. But the winterizing and prep is very consuming for him and I am sure he is growing weary of it too! Tonight they are planning on having mancuso's pizza...LUCKY them! It is delicious pizza! I am sure they will have the house there unwinterized and cozy in no time!
Once we arrived home from our outing, Jayda and I straight away began house cleaning. Thursdays are house cleaning days. We dusted, swept, vacuumed, swiffered, scrubbed, organized, spring cleaned fireplace, filed away all paperwork, and worked on laundry. Jacob mowed our lawn and I had him also mow our neighbors lawn... WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD WE MOW OUR NEIGHBORS YARD??? Well, let me explain. You see our neighbors lived the high life...or so they loved for us to think so. They were constantly relandscaping their lawn, resurfaced their pool, had a 5000.00 shed placed on their lot, had a see through screen put on garage, resurfaced garage flooring, totally reshelved garage with top of the line shelving, baby grand piano, new furniture, 52 inch flat screen HDTV, belonged to expensive wine clubs, rented limos for bdays and went to most expensive restaurant in winter park, bought expensive diamond pendants for her, and gold bracelet for him,bought two new cars, redid master bathroom and guest bathroom to the tune of 15,000.00 oh yeah...and they refinanced their home 3 times! Their home is identical to ours...built in the seventies. The last time they had their home appraised, it was 300,000.00!!! YEAH, RIGHT!!!!! They maxed out at 284,000 dollars. Uh, yeah, they then walked away from it three months ago. They now rent across town for 1000.00 a month. Oh, and they also stripped the house of everything before they left. They were moving in the dark of night for the first three days cause they were so embarrassed. How did I know this about all their spending??? They were braggadocious. Their story is like the house catty corner from me...and let's not forget others we know who did the same. It baffles me how people can be so irresponsible and actually look themselves in the mirror everyday, knowing they refinanced and stole $$$$ from banks!!! No wonder the economy has taken a turn. The mortgage companies are not to blame...everyone is responsible for reading the paperwork and understanding it. Then the government wants to use our money to bail them out??????? Sorry I can't see that being a viable consequence for the irresponsible parties.
HOLY SMOKES...I digress. Soapbox dismounted.
Where in the world was I??? Oh yes, Jacob was mowing the lawn at the neighbors. It was nearing mid shin when I told him he had to do it or snakes would begin living in their yard. He doesn't like snakes so this was good motivation. Plus, I can't stand to watch our neighborhood go to pot!
So just as he finished the lawn and showered, Marc stopped by the house. He wanted to know if Jacob would want to go play a round of golf with him. Jacob almost peed his pants. Well, not literally, but he did do a happy dance! Here he was just before he left! Jayda is now watching High School Musical and entertaining baby Jay. Jay is dancing to the music. I'll try and get a video of it in a minute.
PS Can you believe I got so much house cleaning done??? YAY! Thanks to Jayda, too! To be continued!!!
Here was baby Jay last night. He communicates back and forth. You will here a large growl...his dad did that a few minutes earlier...and about scared the daylights out of him! The large gasy burp...that's Michael. Nice manners.....{hahaha}
Marc just brought Jacob home, it had started to thunder. The afternoon showers are kicking up. Here he was with baby Jay. I was shocked he didn't cry...

Monday was the first official day of summer...I was at my wits end by the end of the day. The children had no direction...were argumentative...wanting to play video games all day....were lazy and so on. So, after dinner I put the kabosh on all that! We sat down together and made out a schedule, a chore chart, a reading program incentive, and planned out fun excursions. They both finished the school with A's save for a B on Jayda's part...in math.
Here's a copy of the reading incentive.

Here is a sight where I went and created my own chore charts online. Click on the words...chore chart!
I also created a schedule for the day that the children helped me create. I will post that after bit.
We are utilizing the great programs at the public library ALOT this summer! They have some awesome things going on over there. They are involved in a jewlery making class for 6 Thursdays and fantastic storytellers on Fridays. I think I love the library more than my children like it!
It's Wednesday, yesterday, the chore charts were complete and the "excitement" the children had at creating them QUICKLY slipped away when it was time to ACTUALLY do the chores. {Too funny!!!!!}
My mother and father left for PA on Tuesday morning. sad sad sad sad sad sad sad...
We had dinner together at Stavro's Monday night. here are some pics of paintings the kids had done while waiting for dinner, it was kids night. The following are some random tidbits from the last few days... Look how baby Jay's hair is growing! It's official...EVERYONE in our family eats Frosted Mini Wheats for breakfast! Here's a card I completed. Jacob and Michael out Kayak fishing at night over the weekend.
We were up at sunrise this morning to get out on the water before it got too hot.
Here you will see a barge ship that is dredging the intercoastal to replace sand on the beaches damaged by hurricanes. The weather was gorgeous today, another morning without a cloud in the sky. We arrived at Disappearing Island at about 8:45 am without much ado. It was nearly empty at the island when we arrived. Picked out a prime spot and anchored down. It was super low tide this morning. I have never seen it that low. The baby was perfect today. It was breezy and not stiffling hot. This made for a very pleasant outing! As the tide headed in, the huge jellyfish joined the party!!! They were spread out about every ten feet alllll around! Yuck! This first one was beached from high tide during the night. One of the guys in our group scooped it up by it's head. We packed peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, chips, chex mix, cookies, water and gatorade. Just some sweet snacks to have out on the water. For some reason, we are always so hungry out on the water. Here's Jayda, before I pushed her off the boat and into the water. I thought she might cry or be mad but she laughed and laughed and then came back a smidge later and says, "now don't push me in again mom." She really did want me to...just showed a glimpse of her, still, little girl inside! She was being shy as there were all boys on the island playing today. Jacob had about 6 boys to pal around with and play. She was just not into hanging with boys. Baby ate some Sweet potatoes and Corn, followed by Bananas and Mixed Berries. Here you will see him hanging with his daddy and driving the boat!?!?!?!? I never get tired of seeing this picture. As the day wore on, scads of boats moved in to finally squeezing together. This one boat came blasting in beside us blarring RAP music and the people were trashed. That's when we knew it was time for us to go! As we drove back, baby Jay was tired, hungry and started screaming. By the time we got to the dock, he was completely flushed red and overheating himself. I quick pulled the boat on the trailer, passed off the baby to Michael, who drove us off to park and I stripped and soaked him down with cold water. He cooled right down, drank some water and nursed a smidge. He was happy as could be and when I changed his diaper he peeed all over his naked little self. Guess what he did, he started giggling about it! Once we arrived home, the baby and I played a while. Here he is... who knew a dollar toy could be such fun from a garage sale. Then again, I shouldn't be surprised...his favorite toy is a water bottle! hahaha
Let's not forget about the fun had wallowing in the Sunday paper as I read it! He was waving it around so fast...this is what I caught! Scroll on down for a post from yesterday! If you are tired of the music, just scroll down the right until you see the music list and then hit the pause button. The button has two vertical side by side lines.
